Corvette gets factory Apple iPOD integration

GM has made available a device called the “Personal Audio Link,” available at GM dealerships for less than $160 at MSRP, plus installation.

The Personal Audio Link iPod adapter, about the size of a deck of cards and not visible to the customer once installed, uses existing radio software, and is integrated through the radio’s digital XM Satellite Radio band.

B&M buys Hurst Shifters

Nate Shelton, Chairman of the B&M Companies, announced the acquisition of the Hurst Shifter Division, a Mr.Gasket Inc. brand since 1987.

Hurst is a leading manufacturer of performance and racing shifters for the manual and automatic transmission markets. Known as “America’s Number 1 Shifter Company”, Hurst has been an OEM supplier of performance shifters since the 1960’s, and in more recent years, has offered “Hurst” branded factory packages. Hurst also offers a wide range of shifter accessories and a rebuild program for early classics outfitted with original Hurst shifters. B&M Racing & Performance Products has been in the shifter business even longer than Hurst and it has an excellent understanding and reputation in the marketplace.

Grand Prix of Houston: Corvette Racing Plans Defense

The 2007 Grand Prix of Houston will be held at Reliant Park April 20-22. If you are looking for something fun to do in April you should make plans to attend the Grand Prix, and support Corvette Racing in their defense of the American Le Mans Series  GT1 manufacturers, team and drivers championships.
