REVITUP

The Rev It Up event is the world’s largest performance driving school and national racing competition. For $25 dollars participants receive professional driving instruction with on-track clinics. The classes teach advanced car control, grip dynamics, and how to identify the fastest racing line.

After the instruction is over, participants compete in race-prepped Cobalt SS coupes on the track for the best time. The fastest drivers of the day then go on to compete in 400-HP Corvettes for prizes.  The event winner gets a 2-day Bondurant Driving School class, and the ultimate winner takes home a new 2008 Corvette!

For Corvette and Camaro owners special car club parking is available. Just show up driving a Corvette or Camaro and access is granted to the VIP parking area.

Velocity Corvette Club has been working with the promoters to have a secondary Corvette club competition.  All Corvette Clubs of Greater Houston (CCGH) club members are invited to compete for the best Corvette Club driver in Houston.

Represent your Corvette club and compete against the other clubs for the title. This secondary competition will compare the track times for all registered Corvette Club competitors and determine who is the best driver among the Corvette owners in Houston.

The Rev it Up event is more then a competition. There are fun things to do and see for those not competing.

  • See the Camaro Concept up close
  • Visit the New Chevy Nation pavilion
  • Test Drive Chevy’s hottest rides, including Vettes.
  • Meet and Hang out with Chevy Pro Racers
  • Enduro Kart laps and head-to-head combat.
  • Attack the track in a 505-HP Corvette Z06
  • Great food and great music!
  • General Admission is Free!
  • Parking is Free!

Project VCC-BLU: The Game Plan

June 4, 2007

To pursue the “rattle of power” VCC-BLU will go through six stages of modification. This path will be a little more costly in labor, but will provide us with the opportunity to take the necessary performance measurements at each stage. For instance, most owners would combine Stage IV and V to save a few hours of labor due to the fact the exhaust [...]
