The BP MS 150 is the largest single fund-raising event for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. In 2006, participants raised a record $11.4 million, beating the previous 2005 record of $9.6 million.
The 2007 fund raising goal is $11.5 million, supporting MS research and client services to thousands of men, women and children living with MS.
On the weekend of April 21& 22, BP and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) is sponsoring its annual bike tour (MS150) from Houston to Austin (180 Miles). The purpose of this tour is to provide financial support for the work of the NMSS. MS is an unpredictable disease which strikes young adults in the prime of their lives. There is no known cause, cure or prevention for this devastating disease. The NMSS is fighting desperately to find a way to combat this dreaded disease and offers help to its victims.
Velocity Corvette Club will be supporting several riders in this two-day cycling adventure from Houston to Austin that raises funds to help people living with MS .
